This Privacy Policy explains what information the Drop Stack:
Merge Puzzle Android application (the “App”, package
com.dropstack.mergepuzzle) collects, how
it is used, and the choices you have. By installing or using the App you
agree to the terms described below.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide directly
None. The App does not ask for accounts, email addresses, contact information, or any user-provided data. All gameplay is anonymous.
1.2 Information collected automatically
The App uses Google AdMob to serve advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect the following automatically:
- Your device's Advertising ID (a resettable identifier managed by Android).
- Approximate location, inferred from your IP address (country / region only).
- Device information — model, OS version, screen size, language, mobile carrier.
- Ad interaction data — which ads were shown, clicked, or completed.
- Crash diagnostic logs generated during ad requests.
1.3 Data stored on your device
The App stores a small amount of local state on your device (best score, current level, lives count, next-life timestamp) using standard Android shared preferences. This data never leaves your device and is included in the standard Android auto-backup mechanism managed by your operating system.
2. How we use the information
- To deliver advertisements — including personalized ads where permitted by law and by your device settings.
- To measure ad performance (impressions, click-through, reward completions).
- To detect and diagnose crashes in the advertising components.
- To save your local game progress on your device.
We do not sell your data. We do not build user profiles beyond what Google AdMob does for ad delivery.
3. Third-party services
The App integrates Google AdMob and its underlying Google Play services. Data collected through the ads SDK is governed by Google's own policies:
4. Your choices
- Opt out of personalized ads: Android → Settings → Privacy → Ads, then enable “Delete advertising ID.”
- Reset your Advertising ID: Same location in Android settings — this rotates the identifier so previous ad interactions cannot be tied to future ones.
- Delete local data: Uninstalling the App removes all stored preferences. There is no server-side account to close.
5. Users in the European Economic Area (GDPR) & the UK
If you access the App from the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) may present a consent form before showing personalized ads. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time from within the ad settings dialog surfaced by the App.
The legal basis for processing your Advertising ID and related device data is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for personalized ads, or our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in serving non-personalized ads to support the free App.
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection with respect to your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
6. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
We do not "sell" personal information as defined by the CCPA. We do, however, allow Google AdMob to process device identifiers and coarse location data for advertising purposes, which may qualify as "sharing" under California law. You can opt out of this at any time by disabling ad personalization on your device or by contacting us.
7. Children
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and is rated accordingly on the Google Play Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Data retention
Local game data persists on your device until the App is uninstalled. Data collected by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's own retention schedule.
9. Security
Communications between the App and Google's advertising servers use TLS (HTTPS). Locally stored preferences are held in the app-private storage sandbox that Android provides.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the App or its Play Store listing.
